deHavilland Beaver

The DHC-2 DeHavilland Beaver has been used worldwide for decades as a utility aircraft – with missions ranging from medical retrievals to fire fighting.  There are still many roles in hard to get to parts of the globe that the Beaver still serves as the most appropriate aircraft for the job.

Our Beaver is fitted with 35” Alaskan Bushwheels allowing it to land on just about any terrain.  It’s the only Beaver in Australia fitted with these tyres, and (as far as we know!) we’re the only place in the world you can come and train in a Beaver on tundra tires.

We specialise in “bush pilot” type training, and can tailor your DeHavilland Beaver training to what you want to achieve.  We can conduct all of the training on certified runways, through to transitioning to bush strips for more advanced handling of the aircraft.  At all times we aim to please and allow the customer to get as much as they can from the sort of flying they want to do in the Beaver.

The dual hire rate on our DeHavilland Beaver is $750+GST per engine hour, charged per 0.1 of an hour.

The only requirement for dual training in our Beaver is a PPL and already holding the tailwheel undercarriage endorsement, which we can conduct in our Piper Super Cub or American Champion Scout.
