Learn to Fly

To assist people with a general overview of what it takes to learn to fly, we’ve put together a short guide below with some of the most common questions we receive when someone is considering flight training.

Can I fly with glasses?

Yes! Flying with glasses is very common. Generally, the restriction on flying with glasses is that you require two pairs to be carried on you when you fly.  You don’t want to break one pair and not have a spare!

I didn’t do well at school, will I be able to pass the exams?

This is a question we get asked regularly.  However, we find that an academic background isn’t necessary for someone to be able to learn to fly.  More important, we find, is an interest in the flight training process and aviation!  Our dedicated instructors are also able to make the learning process straight forward and beneficial.
